Building a Portrait Collage
I extended the frame, and expanded the background to make it look realistic using extension tool, patch tools, and healing tools, this project took all of our skills and combined them. This project required a lot of skills when it came to patching up the background
Content Aware Fill
I removed the background artifacts using content aware fill, I selected the artifacts with the selection tool, and pressed the delete key, clicked the drop down and selected content aware fill. The content aware fill worked quite well when it comes to cleaning up the background.
Patch Tool
I removed the logo on his shirt, using patch tools. I also used some extra healing tools to add to the over all look of the shirt. Photoshop automatically changed the light levels of the shirt add-ons which was nice.
Clone Stamp and Healing Brush
I removed the tags next to her right pocket using the clone stamp and healing brush. I cloned the navy color several times and blended it in to make it look realistic. I also added some changes so there was a difference between the sleeve/arm and her torso.
Clone Stamp and Patch Tool
I removed a tower behind the mans head because it appeared to be coming out of his head, which was an optical illusion I wanted to remove. So the viewer wasn't distracted by the tower in the background and that way they could focus on the image itself.
Spot Healing Brush
I used the spot healing brush to remove specs of dirt from his face. The spot healing brush also removed other imperfections off of the kids face. The spot healing brush did an amazing job and removed the dirt specs with little artifacts/errors.
